- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I was recommended this shop by a friend. Apparently the shop was bought back by the previous owner after an absence of a few years and it is now functioning on all cyclinders which is good to see. I found the owner very helpful and knowledgible. I wanted some primer and undercoat, all in one. I picked two 750ml tins and took them to the counter to pay. The owner pointed out that I could buy a bigger tin cheaper and personaly picked it off the shelf for me ! The shop was packed with stock and some the prices all looked very reasonable to me. For example metal snap off blade knives for only £1.99, Id seen the same ones elsewhere for twice that price. I had priced the paint up in a local budget type chain store in Hull and Chants DIY was £2 and £3 a tin cheaper across the board. It really is a little treasure trove and Im only sorry that I didnt stumble across it earlier because apparently everyone knows about it in the Avenues and it has been there for years.
